First Grade
Language Arts: Students will be able to
-decode and spell words with soft c and soft g.
-spell memory words right, light, buy, wash, kind, find.
-state the problem and solution in a text.
-understand vocabulary words spoiled, scatter, scowl.
-find information in a diagram.
-use adverbs.
-identify examples of onomatopoeia.
Math: Students will be able to
-identify fractions ½, ⅓, ¼.
-name fractions as parts of a whole or part of a set.
-use terms related to probability.
Religion: Students will learn about prayer.

Second Grade
Language Arts: Students will be able to
-decode and spell words with long u spelled ui, oo, ou, ew, u_e.
-decode and spell words with air, ear, are, erry.
-support and opinion given.
-capitalize proper nouns.
-use prefix un- and suffix -tion.
-answer questions to a text.
Math: Students will be able to
-explore the concept of multiplication as repeated addition
-multiply twos
-multiply threes
-solve problems using the skill of visualizing
-multiply fours
Religion: Students will learn about prayer.
